Edward Carrell
Edward Carrell, age 95 of Wheeler (Otter Creek), died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Neighbors of Dunn County Care Center in Menomonie with his wife by his side.
Edward was born on May 3, 1919 in Astoria, NY. He was the son of Charles and Barbara (Sirvotka) Carrell. He grew up in the Queens- Astoria neighborhood. Edward joined the U.S. Army twice and was a part of the D-Day invasion on Omaha Beach, France. He also served in Belgium, Germany and Africa during WWII. While in Germany he met his future wife Majut Zepperlin. They were married in Germany and made their home in Phoenix, AZ after Edward retired from his career with the U.S. Army. In 1975, they moved to Wheeler to be closer to their son. For the last two years, Edward has been a resident of the Neighbors of Dunn County Care Center in Menomonie.
Edward is survived by his wife; Majut (“Candy“), son; Ed (Renee) of Wheeler, one grandson; Levi (Heather) of River Falls, two great grandchildren; Casey and Nolan, two sisters; Mary and Lillian, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers and at least 10 good dogs.
Memorial Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall, located at E4649 Cty Rd D, Menomonie, WI 54751. Meal to follow.
