Mary F. Boxeth
Mary F. Boxeth age 63 of Durand, formerly of Eagan, MN died Saturday September 13, 2014 at the home of her sister in the township of Waubeek, rural Arkansaw after a short battle with cancer, with her family by her side.
Mary was born March 21, 1951 in Wabasha, MN, the daughter of Perry and Frances (Schlosser) Hurlburt. Mary grew up in Durand and graduated from Durand High School in 1969. After high school Mary moved to the Twin Cities where she worked at various jobs. She was currently employed at Thomson Reuters in Eagan, MN.
Mary’s true passion in life was drawing and she was a very gifted artist. She enjoyed sharing her talents with family and friends. She loved finding treasures, writing poetry and spending time with her family. They were very important to her and gave her much joy. She was a dedicated employee and was respected by all her co-workers.
Mary is survived by her son Robert of Irvine, CA; her mother, Frances Hurlburt of Durand; six brothers, Michael (Donna), Matthew (Debi); Mark (SueAnn); Max (Karen); Monte (Gay) Hurlburt all of Durand; Myles (Sue) Hurlburt of Wausau; four sisters, Melissa (John) Weber of Arkansaw; Martha (Jerry Joe) Hartung of Elmwood; Maureen (Michael) Krings of Prescott; Myrna (Mike) Barthel of Farmington, MN; 25 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Perry in 2012.
Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Friday September 19, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima, rural Durand with Rev. Paul Bosco officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
