Virginia Ann Webb
Virginia Ann Webb age 77 of Eau Galle, died Thursday, January 9, 2014 peacefully in her sleep at her home in Eau Galle.
Virginia was born on March 18, 1936 in Plum City. She was the daughter of Earl and Rosella (Gilles) Kannel. Virginia grew up in the Plum City area and graduated from Plum City High School in 1954. After high school, Virginia raised her five children on the Kannel family farm. Virginia worked in the Plum City school system for 38 years, retiring in 2006. She married William “Bill” Webb on February 6, 1982 in Plum City. After marriage they moved to Eau Galle where she remained the rest of her life.
Virginia enjoyed dancing, gardening, playing cards, cooking and canning. She especially liked to sing in the Eau Galle Polka Choir, was active in church and the Catholic Family Charities. Virginia gave her life to her community, church and friends. She loved sports, especially the Brewers, Badgers and Packers. Most of all, Virginia loved to spend time with family and friends.
Virginia is survived by her children; Clinton (Diane) Follansbee of Ellsworth, Denise (Mark) Hutter of Amery, Edward (Damita) Follansbee of Stockholm, Greg (Melissa) Follansbee of Eau Claire, Diane (Brent) Matter of Menomonie, William Jr. (Jeannie) Webb of Holcomb, Richard Webb of Eau Galle, Ronald (Patti) Webb of Dover, DE, John (Deb) Webb of Eau Claire and Juliane Webb of Eau Galle, 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, four brothers; Marvin (Dell Jane) Kannel of Elmwood, Donald (Jean) Kannel of Arkansaw, Edward (Marge) Kannel of Ames, IA and David (Phyllis) of Hammond, one sister; Mary Ellen (Dale) Nevalainen of Hibbing, MN, two sisters-in-law; Connie Kannel of Plum City and Deb Kannel of River Falls, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Bill Webb Sr., one grandson; Josh Follansbee and two brothers, Kenneth and Steven Kannel.
