Susan G George
Susan G. George, age 75 passed away on October 10, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Waterford, WI.
Susan was born on November 11, 1937 in Trivandrum, Kerala, India to T. C. Abraham and Mariam (Thomas) Abraham. Susan finished four years of college in India. She was united in marriage to P. Abraham (Sonny) George on August 15, 1958 in Kumbanad, Kerala, India. Susan joined her husband in the United States in August of 1964 with their two young boys. They settled in Pasadena, CA where they lived for seven years and added a daughter to their family. In 1971 they moved to San Diego, CA, where Susan learned how to drive and got her first job at an interior design shop. In 1975 they moved to Manitowoc, WI, where she worked at Mirro Aluminum. In August of 1976 she made her final move to Durand, WI. Susan worked as a cook for many years in various restaurants, but retired from Northern Center in Chippewa Falls, WI as a Food Service Worker after 25 years. In 2001, shortly after the death of her husband Sonny, she started working as a Greeter at Wal-Mart in Eau Claire, WI. This was the job she loved the most as she got to interact with her customers, who became friends. She was devoted to her husband, three children, five grandchildren and pets. She loved to cook for family and friends and was a great advocate to all animals.
Survivors include her three children: Vijay (Julie) George, Wixom, Michigan, Vinod (Suja) George, Rockford, Illinois, and Sharon (Dean) Webb, Waterford, Wisconsin. She is further survived by her five grandchildren: Samantha and Stephanie George, Taylor Webb, Benjamin and Joshua George. Other survivors include sister-n-laws Maya Abraham and Sally Abraham; nieces Susan Oommen, Elizabeth Jacob and Vinita Thomas; nephews Vivek Abraham and Santosh Abraham; many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and life long friends. She was preceded in death by her husband P. A. George; parents T.C. and Mariam Abraham, her brother Jacob John Abraham, brother-in-law Babu Abraham, and sister-in-law Ammukutty George.
