Florence M Brunner

Florence M. Brunner, 86, died April 25th, 2008, at Angelspace in Eau Claire, Wisconsin surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 17, 1921 in the Town of Lima, Pepin County, Wisconsin. Florence, the daughter of August C. and Catherine Bauer, grew up in the Lima area and attended Sacred Heart School. She married Joseph H. Brunner on June 28th, 1929 and lived in the Chippewa Falls and Durand area much of her life. They farmed on the home place in Lima for many years until they moved to their home in Durand. Florence & Joe moved to Eugene, Oregon and together operated their moving and storage agency, returning to Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 1984.

“MOM” loved God, her family, and all her friends. Mom enjoyed family get-togethers, fishing, bowling, traveling, gardening, and playing cards, especially 500 and Pfeiffer. She was always there to assist anyone in need.

She is survived by her children Ronald (Darlene) of Eau Claire, Nancy Riggs (Jim, dec.) of Eau Claire, Linda Stokes (Don, dec.) and her special friend Steve of Eau Claire, Joe (Margie Nell) of Eleva, Robert (Lynn) of Chippewa Falls, Randall (Rita Jean) of Eau Claire, Michael (Bonnie) of Hudson, and Patrick (Rahna) of Chippewa Falls, 26 grandchildren, 31 2/3 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Sally Doverspike, Pauline Poeschel, and Betty Parr, 7 brothers , Kenneth, Ralph, Robert, Darrell, Cletus, Glenn, and Gary Bauer, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends nationwide. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, two infant sons John and Herbie.
