Robert G. Weber, age 79 of Menomonie
Born: March 4, 1929
Died: April 12, 2008 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Robert was the son of William and Irma (Anderson) Weber. He was born in Menomonie and he grew up in the Weston area of Dunn County. He graduated from Dunn County Aggie in 1946. On October 5, 1948 he married Edith Kelley at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie. After marriage they lived and farmed in the Town of Lucas, Dunn County. In 1979 he and his wife built a new home on the edge of the farm and he continued to help on the farm until retirement. In June of 2007 they moved to an apartment in Menomonie where he remained the rest of his life.
Robert served as supervisor for the Town of Lucas, belonged to the Knights of Columbus in Menomonie and was a delegate for Mid-America Dairymans Association.
Robert was an avid follower of the Green Bay Packers and the Menomonie High School Football and Basketball teams. He also enjoyed his deer hunting trips up north, gardening with his wife and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Edith, two sons, Dick (Connie) of Menomonie, Bobby of Knapp, one daughter, Peggy (Noal) Harshman of Knapp, grandchildren, Scott (Julie) Weber, Lisa (Rob) Sedlak, Trisha (Joel) Thompson, Katie (Jim Ferguson) Harshman,Amanda (Pat) Miller; Holly Weber, Heidi (Brent) Anderson, Michael and Heather Weber, 10 great grandchildren, two brothers, Gerald (Mary) of Woodbury, MN, Laverne (Donna) of Boyceville, one sister-in-law, Kathleen Kelley, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Susan.
