Vivian L Baker
Vivian Lucille Baker age 87 of Elmwood,
Died Monday April 29, 2013 at Welcome Home Assisted Living in Elmwood.
Vivian was born December 31, 1925 in Bismarck, ND the youngest of nine children. She was the daughter of Edward Martin Farnam and Marie Olson. Vivian grew up in the Bismarck and Mandan areas of North Dakota. She married Basil "Bud" Baker May 8, 1946 in Bismarck, ND where they raised their family. Years later, Vivian and Bud moved to Cottage Grove, MN for Bud's work, until they retired and moved to the Clear Lake area in 1986. After the death of her husband, Vivian moved to Elmwood where she has remained the rest of her life.
Vivian was active in the VFW Auxiliary, and her church, Living Word Chapel in Emerald, WI. She loved tending flower gardens, and spending time with family and friends.
Vivian is survived by two children, Richard (Connie) Baker of Prairie City, IA; Steve Baker of Clear Lake; five grandchildren, Sarah (Scott) LeClair of Altoona, IA; Jared Baker of Coos Bay, OR; Derek Baker of Prairie City, IA; Mike (Nicole) Baker of Elmwood; Amanda Hinzman of Augusta; eight great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Jan (Gene) Hoard of Prairie Farm and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud in 2002, four sisters and four brothers.
