Rose M. Anibas age 93 of Durand, died Friday April 19, 2013 at the Oakview Care Center in Durand
Rose was born August 30, 1919 in the Township of Lima, Pepin County rural Durand. She was the daughter of Vince P. and Genevieve (Pichler) Bauer and grew up in that community. Rose married Lawrence D. Anibas May 6, 1941 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima. After marriage they farmed for many years in the Town of Canton, Buffalo County where they raised their family. Recently she has been a resident of the Oakview Care Center where she received great care.
Rose was a life long member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima, where she was active in the church circles. She was a member of the Lima Polka Choir. Rose enjoyed traveling, playing cards, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
Rose is survived by three daughters, Jeannette Hill of Palm Harbor, FL; Barb (David) Dabrowski of Chicago, IL; Kay (David) Bernards of Lodi; one son, Michael V. (LaNita) of Durand; seven grandchildren, Todd (Tina); Shawn (Shelly), Tricia (Jason), Jennifer (Phil), Ashley, Phil, Kristen; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Fedie and Leona (Norbert) Weinzirl, both of Durand; two brothers, Tom (Dorothy) Bauer of Seven Palms, CA; Vince Bauer of Milton and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence in 1999, four children, Phyllis, Bernard, Larry Jr. and Rita; a sister Eleanor Bauer, three brothers, Galen, Aloysius, and Francis Bauer.
