Grace K Schwartz
Grace K. Schwartz age 95 of Elmwood,
Died: Tuesday April 8, 2008 at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.
Grace was born June 16, 1912 in the Township of Eau Galle, Dunn Co. She was the daughter of Herman and Mary (Hoffacker) Reitz and grew up in the Eau Galle area. Grace graduated from the Elmwood High School in 1930. She attended River Falls Normal and taught at Fairview School in the Township of Weston for several years. Grace married Herman Schwartz January 3, 1933. After marriage they farmed in the Morton Hill area for several years before moving to the home farm in the Township of Weston, where they farmed for many years, retiring in 1970. In 1970 they moved into the Village of Elmwood. Herman died in 2003 and for the past year, Grace has been a resident of the Heritage of Elmwood.
Grace is survived by a daughter Marion (Gary) Chapman of Lincoln, CA; a son James (Joyce) of New Richmond; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister Anna Seipel of Elmwood; a brother, Robert Reitz of Edgerton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herman; a brother, Elmer Reitz; three sisters, Edna Bowen; Vera Schwebach and Marie Kuehl.
The family would like to thank Elizabeth DeLong for her care and friendship shown to Grace these past few years.
