Isabel A Schlosser
Isabel A. Schlosser age 95 of Menomonie, died Monday February 18, 2013 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
Isabel was born December 4, 1917 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of John and Serena (Stowe) O’Meara and grew up in De Pere. Isabel graduated from, The Academy High School, an all girls parochial school in Green Bay. She went onto college at UW-Stout majoring in Home Economics. Isabel taught in a number of school districts in Wisconsin. She married Ralph E. Schlosser August 30, 1948 in West De Pere. After marriage they farmed and raised their family, on the Schlosser family farm in Arkansaw until 1964, when they moved to the Town of Dunn, Dunn County. Isabel also worked as a social worker for both Pepin and Dunn Counties.
Isabel was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Menomonie and the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed cooking and good food.
Isabel is survived by two sons, Charles (Susan) of Manitowoc; Pat (Linda) of Reno, NV; two daughters, Serena (Bob) Foley of Eau Claire; Mickey (Bill) Frank of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, one great grandson; two brothers, M. Patrick (Sharron) O’Meara of San Carlos, CA; Tom (Kit) O’Meara of Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Catherine Baier of Durand. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph in 1993, three sisters and three brothers.
