Rosalie F "Rosie" Solveson
Rosalie F. "Rosie" Solveson, age 88 of Elmwood, passed away after a long illness on January 31, 2013 at the Heritage of Elmwood with her family by her side.
Rosie was born on May 9, 1924 in Ellsworth. She was the daughter of Ralph and Stella (Dumond) Reinier. She lived in Iowa for several years before returning to Plum City, WI where she graduated from Plum City High School in 1941. On December 20, 1943, Rosie married Duane Solveson and they celebrated 69 years together in December of 2012. Together they owned the Grange Hall Store and farmed in the Plum City and Elmwood areas. Rosie was also the custodian at the United Methodist Church in Elmwood for over 20 years. They were blessed with three children; Robert Keith, Roxanne Rosalie and Steven Duane.
Rosie is survived by her husband, Duane, two children; Roxanne (Robert) Taplin and Steven (Patricia) Solveson, both of Elmwood, five granddaughters; Amy (Nick) Johnson, Cynthia (Scott) Mason, Jennifer Brunner, Kami (Todd) Stahlbusch and Kelly (Jason) Books, 10 great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren, two sisters, Ardith (Kenneth) Clafflin of Elmwood and Lenore (Sonny) Dankers of Red Wing, MN, three brothers; Eldon (Cleo) Reinier of Prescott, Maurice (Sue) Reinier of Elmwood and Hugh Reinier of Tucson, AZ, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son in infancy; Robert and one brother; Randall Reinier.
