Isabelle M Schultz
Isabelle M. "Izzy" Schultz, age 86 of Durand, formerly of Plum City, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Oakview Care Center in Durand.
Izzy was born on October 9, 1926 in Ruby. She was the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Wallerich) Anders. At a young age, Izzy moved with her family to a farm in Exile, rural Plum City. Izzy attended a country school and graduated from Plum City High School. She helped out on her parent’s farm and was a nanny for several years. Izzy married Clenard Schultz on December 2, 1950. After marriage, they lived, raised their family and farmed on the Schultz home farm in the Town of Eau Galle, rural Plum City. Izzy worked part-time at the Exile Store and sold the produce from her garden of strawberries, pickles and raspberries. They moved to Durand in 1998 and Izzy has been a resident of the Oakview Care Center since 2006.
Izzy was a life long member of St. John's Catholic Church and Ladies Aide in Plum City. She loved playing cards, cooking, fishing and getting together with friends.
Izzy is survived by her three sons; Larry (Joanne) and Roger (Beth Ann), both of River Falls and Steven of Wauwatosa, five grandchildren; Ryan, Sara, Amy (Torrie), Jayson (Jackie) and Cody, five great grandchildren; Amaya, Katherine, Kylie, Piper and Caden, one sister; Helen Anders of Durand, two sisters-in-law; Pat Anders of South Milwaukee and Alice Anders of Ellsworth, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clenard, one granddaughter, Angela Schultz, four brothers; Charlie, Ray, Joe and Louie Anders.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, January 25, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church in Plum City. Rev. Paul G. Czerwonka will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8PM Thursday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
