Donna E Setterlund
Donna E. Setterlund, age 82, of Arkansaw, died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her home with her family at her side.
Donna was born on February 6, 1930 in rural Arkansaw, where she has lived all her life. She was the daughter of Donald and Zelda (Buchanan) Keys. Donna graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1946. She married James W. Setterlund on July 23, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plum City. She worked in nursing for 55 years, being employed by Plum City Community Hospital, then TAD Nursing Home, Pepin County Public Health, Chippewa Valley Hospital and was an EMT with Durand Municipal Ambulance Service for 20 years. In 1982, Donna went back to school and graduated from CVTC in 1984 as an LPN and retired in December 2003 from Chippewa Valley Hospital.
Over the years she was a leader of the Cub Scouts, an officer of Pepin County Homemakers, an officer in her churches LWML Ladies Organization; she enjoyed camping with family, bowling, going out to eat with many dear friends, crafts and reading. She was also a Pepin County Board of Health member for 9 years.
She is survived by 4 sons; Steven (Nan) of Lone Rock, Rick (Deb) of Arkansaw, Tim of Durand and Donavon of Irving, TX. 6 grandchildren; Josh (Kasie), Erin (Chris) Baskin, Jason (Heather), Ralph (Bobbi Jo), Nathan (Amy), Kimberly Setterlund, 10 great grand children; Lilly, Celia, Henry, Lenorah, Madylin, Elizabeth, Mia, Brook, Reagan and Holden, one brother; Ted Keys of Goodlettesvile, TN, one sister-in-law; Margel Keys of Ellsworth, special niece; Julie Conyers of Phoenix, AZ, 2 dear close friends; Judy and Carol Keys; many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Leland Keys, all of her grandparents, aunts and uncles and several cousins, who she will soon meet again in Heaven.
