Rose H Schauf
Rose H. Schauf age 94 formerly of Menomonie, died Sunday January 6, 2013 at Wild Rose Hospital in Wild Rose, WI.
Rose was born December 23, 1918 in St. Paul, MN. She was the daughter of Peter and Anna (Vitkus) Romanski. Rose married Roland Schauf June 1, 1939 in Glenwood City. After marriage they lived in Footville for several years. They returned to Menomonie and in 1962 they purchased the Lemke farm west of Menomonie on Hwy 29 and farmed for many years. Rose lived in Menomonie before moving to Wautoma four years ago. The last three years Rose lived at Silver lake Manor where she had excellent care. Rose was a gracious lady that loved gardening.
Rose is survived by three children, Jacqueline (Larry) Luther of Madison; Kathy (Robert) Young of Wautoma; Richard (Linda) Schauf of Broken Arrow, OK; seven grandchildren, Eric Luther of Victor, MT; Leah (Joe) Folsom of Prairie Village, KS; Jerry (Diane) Schauf and Donald (Connie) Schauf both of Maple Lake, MN; Darla (Tony) Muller of Sciatook, OK; Scott (Jean) Young of Wisconsin Rapids; Brad (Pam) of Brandon, WI; and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Roland in 2006; four sisters, Mary Bol, Julia Palecek, Virginia Smith & Victoria Rolstad.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association in Roses name.
