Helen P Brunner
Helen P. Brunner, age 89 of Durand, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Oakview Care Center in Durand, with her family by her side.
Helen was born on June 12, 1923 in the Town of Albany on the Brantner family farm. She was the daughter of Leopold G. and Theresa (Pichler) Brantner and she grew up in the Town of Albany. Helen married Hubert J. Brunner on May 3, 1943 in Mondovi. After marriage, they farmed and raised their family in the Town of Lima. In 1983, Hubert Brunner passed away and in 1987, Helen married Hubert Poeschel and he passed away in 2006. Helen lived her entire adult life on their farm in Lima.
Helen was a devout catholic and was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a very social person and loved visiting with people. Helen also enjoyed gardening, dancing, playing cards and especially spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by her eight sons; Dennis (Mary Ellen) of Arkansaw, David of Hastings, MN, Dean (Kay) of Durand, Dale (Vickie) of Eau Claire, Ben (Sue) of Durand, Bernie (Cheryl) of Corona, CA, Bob (Nancy) of Lakeland, TN and Bill of Durand, two daughters; Maureen (Peter) Kent of Eau Claire and Marcia (Rod) Berger of Durand, 26 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 5 stepchildren and several step grandchildren, one brother; Mark (Rita) Brantner of Eau Claire, two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Hubert Brunner and Hubert Poeschel, an infant son; Joseph, granddaughter Kassy Brunner and sibilings; Richard, Roman, Julius, Bernard Brantner and Pauline Strevler.
