Daniel H "Dan" Riley
Daniel H. "Dan" Riley age 44 of Eau Claire, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at his home in Eau Claire, with his family by his side.
Dan was born on January 24, 1968 in Seattle, WA. He was the son of Charles and Rita (Trudell) Riley. He grew up in the Durand area and attended St. Mary's Grade School and one year at Durand High School before moving with his family to Altoona where he graduated from Regis High School in 1986. After high school, Dan joined the U.S. Army Reserves and served for six years before being honorably discharged. He also attended UW-Eau Claire where he graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Dan lived in Eau Claire, raised his children and worked for Menards in the business office for 14 years. In 2009 Dan retired from Menards due to his illness.
Dan loved to fish, go down hill skiing and spending time outdoors. He was an avid sports fan, going to every Major League Ball Park that he could. Dan loved to cheer on the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Dan is survived by his children; Jack, Luke and Brooke, all of Eau Claire, parents; Charles and Rita Riley of Durand, two brothers; Charles "Chuck" (Sue) Riley of Eau Claire and Greg (Correna) Riley of Platteville, one sister; Theresa "TJ" (Jeremy) Klysen of Hastings, MN, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, John Patrick Riley.
