Beatrice B "Bea" Hill-Bauer
Beatrice B. "Bea" Hill-Bauer, age 77 of Durand, passed away into God's loving hands on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, surrounded by the love of her family.
Bea was born on February 22, 1935, in Porcupine area of rural Arkansaw. She was the daughter of Jerry and Lena (Poquette) Brunette. Bea grew up in Arkansaw and attended school there. She married Donald Hill on September 25, 1951 at St. Joseph's in Arkansaw. To this marriage two children were born. For the majority of her working career, Bea worked at Gillette in St. Paul. Donald passed away in 1981. Later, Bea married Giles "Putter" Bauer on August 27, 1983 in Durand. To this marriage, Bea gained two step-children. After marriage they lived in Durand, where Bea remained the rest of her life.
Bea loved to dance and listen to country and old-time music. She also enjoyed taking her dog, Skipper for walks, chatting with the neighbors, feeding the cat and crows and was a terrific cook. Most of all, Bea loved spending time with family and friends.
Bea is survived by her husband, Putter, three children; Debbie (Denis) Bilderback of Hastings, MN, Randy "Putter" (Tricia) Bauer of Menomonie and Ronald "Joe" Bauer of Boyceville, seven grandsons; Chad (Jodi), Shane, Joe (Mollie), Jesse (Hollie), Nathan, Blake and Cale, nine great grandchildren, one sister; Geri (Arlin) Keys of White Bear Lake, MN, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one son; James Hill, five sisters, Ruth DeLong, Margaret Erwin, Ethel Rageth, Alice Staiger and Jean Hurlburt and one brother in infancy, Mitchell Hill.
