Richard F "Dick" Fedie
Richard F. "Dick" Fedie, age 65 of Plum City, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his residence in Plum City with his family by his side.
Dick was born on June 1, 1947 in Durand. He was the son of Fred "Fritz" and Matilda "Tillie" (Bauer) Fedie. Dick grew up in Plum City, attended St. John's School and graduated from Plum City High School in 1965. After high school, Dick attended to UW-River Falls. Dick married his high school sweetheart, Teresa Coulson at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on June 14, 1969. Dick was employed at Weiser Concrete from 1965 to 1982, when he started his own concrete business Midwestern Precast in Menomonie. After selling the business in 2001, he returned to Weiser Concrete as a salesman for several years before retiring due to his illness.
Dick enjoyed the outdoors; his passions were Walleye fishing in Canada and his home in Florida. He was a competitor at anything he did, especially when it came to his business and shooting trap. Most of all, Dick enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Dick is survived by his wife of 43 years, Teresa, three daughters; Kathy Fedie, Kara (Tom) Schramski and Kelly (Josh) Ingli, an honorary son; Andy Winkler, two grandchildren, Camryn and Brett Ingli, one brother; Don (Peggy) Fedie, three sisters; Patricia (Tom) Chancey, Sharon (Bob) Monberg and Marie (Jim) Claflin, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Doug, two nieces; Sara Fedie and Jenny Monberg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plum City. Rev. Eric Linzmaier will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand.
