Marjorie M Wolbert
Marjorie Mary Wolbert, age 67 of Menomonie, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Marjorie was born on March 4, 1945 in Menomonie. She was the daughter of Russell and Virginia (Knopps) Wolbert. She grew up in rural Menomonie and attended school in Eau Claire. After school, Marjorie worked at a workshop for the visually impaired in Eau Claire from 1963 to 1980. In 1980, Marjorie moved to Milwaukee to the Badger Home for the Blind, where she worked at workshop for the visually impaired. While in Milwaukee, Marjorie spent a lot of time with her niece, Angi Wolbert. Marjorie moved back to the area in 2007 and became a resident of the Comforts of Home in Menomonie in 2009 where she remained the rest of her life.
Marjorie enjoyed listening to her books on tape, going outside, tending to her flowers, caring for cats and staying up to date with news and current events. She was an honorary member of the Waterfall Girls. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Marjorie is survived by her mother, Virginia Schroeder of Cedar Falls, two brothers; John (Betsy) Wolbert of Menomonie and David (Debbie) Wolbert of Elk Mound, one sister-in-law; Connie Wolbert of Eau Claire, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by father; Russell Wolbert, one sister; Patti Colby, two brothers; Thomas in infancy and Charles Wolbert.
