Richard F. "Dick" Brunner Jr
Richard Francis "Dick" Brunner Jr. age 74 of Durand, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday morning, May 30, 2012.
Dick was born on February 20, 1938 on the family farm in the Town of Lima, rural Durand. He was the son of Richard Sr. and Marcella (Hund) Brunner. Dick grew up in the Lima area attended Sacred Heart School in Lima. After school, Dick enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard and served State side. Dick married Rita Hedberg on June 6, 1964 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lima. Dick devoted his time to raising his family, farming on the family farm, and driving school bus for the School District of Durand.
Dick was an avid bowler and dancer. He loved to hunt, fish, trap, ride snowmobiles and watch westerns. Dick will be remembered for his sense of humor, funny crazy stories and his favorites things in life; country music, tractors and Ma.
Dick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rita, three children; Shelli (Rusty) Naylor of Eau Claire, Christopher (Stephanie) of Mondovi and Kayla (Fiancé Dan Veitch) Brunner of Chippewa Falls, his dog; Sammy, four grandchildren; Amanda (Rich) Cable and Katelyn Naylor, both of Eau Claire, Alexis and Connor Brunner of Mondovi, five sisters; Rosemary (Don) Atkinson of Milwaukee, Toni (Gerald M.) Bauer of Durand, Beatrice (William) Newcomb of Pepin, Susan (Gary) Alexander of Montello and Sharon (Terry) Weisenbeck of Durand, one brother; Dennis (Friend Lori) of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister-in-law, Paula Brunner and one brother-in-law, Duane Bauer.
