Anna V Wayne
Anna V. Wayne age 85 of Elmwood, died Monday May 14, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Anna was born March 22, 1927 at home, in the Township of Lima, Pepin County, rural Durand. She was the daughter of Vincent and Mary (Bauer) Berger and grew up in the Lima Community. Anna married Earl Wayne March 6, 1945. After marriage they lived in the Durand area where they started their family and owned and operated a sawmill business. In 1971 they moved to Spring Valley where they farmed for a few years. In 1981 they moved to a farm near Elmwood until 1990 when they moved to their current home in the Township of Weston, Dunn County.
Anna enjoyed playing cards, quilting, tending to her flower gardens, square dancing, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Anna is survived by four sons, Roger (Bobbie) of Ellsworth; Steve (Gail Upton) of River Falls; Joe (Kathy) of Menomonie; Doug (Dawn) of Cornell; six daughters, Ruth Ann (Stanley) Myers of Nelson; Shirley (Ken) Nimmo of Durand; Sandra (Dennis) Wolf of Spring Valley; Annette (Chris) Hegner of Woodbury, MN; Barbara (Hopkins) of West Salem; Janet (Dave) Flaskerud of Chanhassen, MN; 28 grandchildren. 37 great grandchildren; one brother, Joe (Hazel) Berger of Durand; three sisters, Theresa (Harold) Wood of Eau Galle; Margaret (Casper) Bechel of Mondovi; Dorothy (Robert) Bechel of Colfax, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl in 2002; two children, Patricia in infancy, Ronald in 1966; three grandsons, Richard Wayne, Eric and Aaron Myers; three brothers and six sisters.
