Leonard E Lauer
Leonard E. Lauer, age 70 of Plum City, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, with his family by his side.
Leonard was born on June 15, 1941 in Plum City. He was the son of Clarence and Ethel (Claflin) Lauer. Leonard grew up in the Arkansaw and Durand areas and attended school in Arkansaw. After school, Leonard drove truck for most of his working career and also did construction for Anderson Construction in Baldwin. Leonard married Judy Babcock on June 29, 1968 in Durand. He retired in 2005. For the last year and half, Leonard had been battling cancer.
Leonard loved his vintage cars, antique tractors, hunting, cutting wood and guns. Most of all, Leonard enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Leonard is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy, one sister; Bernetta "Toot" Weber of Elmwood, one brother-in-law; Tony Babcock of Woodville, one sister-in-law; Penny (Tom) Sawall of Sheboygan, six nieces and nephews, a special friend, Kermit Klinski of Plum City, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by parents, one brother-in-law, Ray Weber, father and mother-in-law, Bernard and Beulah Babcock.
