Debra Flanders
Debra Renee Flanders age 52 of Spring Valley,
Died: Saturday March 24, 2012 at her home in the Township of Spring Lake surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Debra was born March 16, 1960 in Menomonie. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Irma (Reitz) Kitchner but grew up in Elmwood. Debra graduated from Elmwood High School in 1978. Debra married Craig Flanders June 19, 1976 in Elmwood, where they made their home and raised their three children Tovah, Kamen & Sky. For over twenty years Debra has worked at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home as a bookkeeper where she wore many “hats”. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, going to garage sales, collecting antiques, painting, and playing with her boxer’s.
Debra is survived by her husband, Craig, three children Tovah (Adam) Carson of Elmwood; Kamen (Stacey) Flanders of Menomonie; Sky (Cory) Holt of Elmwood; four grandchildren, Araya and Ryden Carson, Kelbie Flanders, Arlen Holt; two sisters, Wilhelmina (Dennis) Traun and Kay (Kenneth) Noll both of Durand; four brothers, Gary Kitchner of Durand; Bruce (Juel) Kitchner of Eau Galle; James (Linda) Kitchner of Elmwood; Greg (Marlene) Kitchner of Menomonie, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Winter and Joanne Hartung; a sister-in-law, Eileen Kitchner.
