Leo F Schuh

Leo F. Schuh, age 94 of Rock Falls, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at his home in Rock Falls with his family at his side.

Leo was born on April 9, 1917 at home in the Lima Township, rural Durand. He was the son of Frank and Mary (Danzinger) Schuh. Leo grew up in the Lima area and attended Holy Rosary School in Lima. He worked on his Dad's farm in Lima for several years before moving to the Rock Falls area to farm. Leo married Irene Komro on May 2, 1938 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima. After marriage, Leo continued to farm in the Rock Falls area. Leo also did several other jobs including construction. He helped with milking cows until they were sold at age 90 and worked on other projects until his death.

Leo's "hobby" was going out to cut wood and tinker with anything mechanical.

Leo is survived by his wife of 73 years, Irene, four children, Adrian of Chippewa Falls, Nadine Schuh of Rock Falls, Terry (Linda) of Altoona and Renee Schuh of Rock Falls, 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, son-in-law, Arnold Risler of Mondovi, brother-in-law, Phil Komro of Plum City, sister-in-law, Lorraine Komro of Durand, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Valerie Risler, six sisters, Clara Bauer, Rose Ableidinger, Annabel Ableidinger, Emma Schlosser, Mary Brunner and Lena Stellar two brothers, Albert and Leonard.
