Jamie C Steele
Jamie C. Steele age 36 of Durand, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Wabasha, MN, as a result of an automobile accident.
Jamie was born on August 24, 1975 in Wabasha, MN. He was the son Clayton "Stub" and Betty (McDonough) Steele. He grew up in the Urne area of rural Buffalo County, attended and graduated from Durand High School in 1994. After high school, Jamie farmed for 11 years for Shady Pine Dairy in Urne. In 2002, Jamie went to work for Hearth and Home in Lake City, MN, where he was currently employed. Jamie married his best friend, Heather Robelia on February 10, 2006 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lima, rural Durand.
Jamie loved to hunt, fish, go to tractor pulls, snowmobile, four-wheel and watch NASCAR races. Most of all, Jamie loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his wife and children.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Heather, two children Lane and Keira, both at home, parents, Clayton "Stub" and Betty Steele of Nelson, one sister, Kathy (Tim) Robelia of Durand, two brothers, Craig (Sara) of Elgin, MN and Dustin (Samantha) of Nelson, maternal grandfather, Derold McDonough of Nelson, three nieces, Amber, Anika and Ava, two nephews, Clay and Jacob, father and mother-in-law, Michael and Julie Robelia of Durand, a sister-in-law, Kelly Robelia of Durand and a brother-in-law, Christopher (Friend Rachel) Robelia of River Falls, cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Wilma McDonough and paternal grandparents, Glen and Catherine Steele.
