Margaret H Price
Margaret H. Price age 93 of Durand died peacefully on Friday December 30, 2011 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
Margaret was born July 2, 1918 on the Maxwell Prairie of Buffalo County. She was the daughter of Louis and Agnes (Brantner) Berger. On June 18, 1940 she was united in marriage to Lloyd (Bob) Price. To this union four daughters were born. In her early years Margaret worked for many families in the Durand area and she also waitressed at Clara’s Café in Durand. Margaret her husband and family moved to River Falls in 1958 where they both worked for Marshal and Vonita Ward. Margaret also worked in the cafeteria at St. Bridget’s School in River Falls, at the Langwear Coat Factory in River Falls, and B.W. Harris in Stillwater and retired in 1979. Margaret moved back to Durand in 2004. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, doing all types of crafts and spending time with her family. She was always present for everything: holidays, birthdays, graduations, showers, weddings, funerals, every family event. She was well traveled, all over the U.S, England and Europe. On her trip England, she came upon the Church of St. Margaret. No matter how far away, you couldn’t escape a visit from Margaret.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her children, Helen(Tracy) Radosevich of Medford; Marcia Price of Durand; Pat (Dennis) Johnson of Powell, OH; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; five sisters, Leona Wright, Dorothy Radle, Rita McNaughton all of Durand; Gladys (Rodger) Bonsteel of Mondovi; Carol (Don) Schulte of Altoona; one brother Louis Berger of Durand; sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Syl) Phillips of Durand; Marge Keys of Ellsworth; brother-in-law, Roy Hoch of Mondovi, other relatives, friends and her extended family, Brad & Debbie Johnson of River Falls and their families .
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, daughter Elaine; brothers Fred and Ray Berger; a sister, Eleanor Hoch; sisters-in-law Leone Komro, Donna Soden and Mildred Berger; brothers-in-law, Harry Price, Orville Wright and LaVere Radle.
