Wilbur "Ozzie" F Howe
Wilbur “Ozzie” F. Howe age 81 of Menomonie,
Died Friday December 2, 2011 at The Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
Ozzie was born August 14, 1930 in Menomonie. He was the son of Carl and Anna (Brehm) Howe. He attended rural school in the Town of Lucas, and graduated from the Dunn County School of Agriculture in 1949. Ozzie hauled milk to the Hatchville Creamery for two years before entering the service where he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the service he returned to Menomonie. He married Ivadell Miller May 15, 1953 at Spring Brook Lutheran Church. Ozzie began hauling milk and also drove school bus for his brother Maurice for a number of years before buying the milk route from Maurice. Ozzie then operated the milk hauling business for 55 years retiring in 2004.
Ozzie enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, NASCAR, watching the Badgers and Packers, and spending time with family and friends.
Ozzie is survived by his wife, Ivy of 58 years; two sons, Jim (Pam) of Menomonie and Rick (Kathy) of Knapp; four grandchildren, Brent (Ashley) Howe & Amanda Howe both of Menomonie; Wyatt & Kaylee Howe of Knapp; a sister Annella Frank of Glenwood City; two sisters-in-law, Marie and Eileen Howe both of Menomonie; several nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Eugene and Maurice and one sister Lorraine Trainor.
