Kyle John Gasteyer
On November 23, 2011, Kyle John Gasteyer went home to be with our Lord suddenly as a result of an automobile accident.
Kyle was born on September 21, 1987 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. He was raised on the family farm in Elmwood. Kyle attended and graduated from Elmwood High School in 2006. During his school years he enjoyed sports, FFA and being a member of the Missouri Valley 4-H Club. Kyle attended Chippewa Valley Technical College in River Falls and earned a degree in Wood Technics in May of 2007. Kyle worked for J&J Construction in Eleva for four years. Presently, Kyle was working for Indue Sales & Service in Hudson. He helped on the family farm with his Dad and enjoyed his time there.
Kyle was a son, a brother, a boyfriend, a best friend and friend. He will be remembered as loving, kind, compassionate, appreciative, helpful, protective and having a great sense of humor and quick wit. Kyle always found the good in everyone. He had a special talent for being able to figure out how things worked just by looking at them. Kyle had a love of building things; a home-cooked meal of mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey, sweet corn and his Mom's chocolate chip cookies. He enjoyed playing Rook with his family at the holidays. Kyle's motto was: "If you are going to do something, do it right."
Kyle is survived by his parents, Jeff and Diane of Elmwood, his sister, Brooke at home, his soon-to-be Fiancée, Lisa Richardson of Arkansaw, brother-like-friend, Devon Bengston of Elmwood, his paternal grandparents, William "Bill" and Jean Gasteyer of Elmwood, and maternal grandfather, Tom Mohr of Stanley, aunts and uncles, Catherine (Gene Westling) Gasteyer of Riverdale, NY, William "Bill" Gasteyer Jr. of Bozeman, MT, Dave Mohr and Bruce Mohr, both of Thorp and Dennis (Gerri) Mohr of Stanley, cousins, other relatives and many friends, just to name a few who will be his casket bearers, Ryan Deleo, James Reitz, Kyle Varnson, Jesse Jaskowski, Mitchell Krause and Devon Bengston.
