Guy M. Lostetter, age 76 of Durand, formerly of Plum City,
Born: May 8, 1931
Died: February 26, 2008 at the Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand.
Guy was the son of Franklin and Hilda (Jens) Lostetter. He was born in Appleton and moved to Plum City with his family as a child. Guy attended the Plum City School and Eau Claire Vocational School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Italy. Guy Married Lucille Kaempf February 26, 1962. After marriage, they resided in the Town of Union, rural Plum City.
Guy worked for the Plum City School District in the maintenance department and was a longtime school bus driver. He liked to make and collect wood toys. Guy also was a Beanie Baby collector. He was a member of the Plum City American Legion #365 and a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Durand.
Guy is survived by one brother, Jerry Schroeder of Plum City, one sister Joyce Oberding of Durand, three step-sons, Larry (Harriet) Kaempf of Goleta, CA, Dan (Sheri) Kaempf and Marlo (Sam) Kaempf, both of Durand, three step-daughters, LaVon Lehmann of Elmwood, Linda Johnson of Bloomington, MN, Diane (Jerry) Hancock of Santa Barbara, CA, 32 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille, two grandchildren and one brother, David Lostetter.
Guy passed away on his 46th wedding anniversary. In-lue-of flowers, memorials may be made to the Plum City Schools in Guy’s name.
