Anton L "Tony" Forster
Anton L. "Tony" Forster, age 68 of Elmwood, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at his home in rural Elmwood.
Tony was born on June 4, 1943 in the Town of Albany rural Durand. He was the son of Alfred and Hildegard (Prissel) Forster. Tony grew up in the Town of Eau Galle, rural Elmwood. He attended St. Henry's School in Eau Galle and graduated from Elmwood High School in 1961. He attended college before being drafted into the U.S. Army. He served from 1964 to 1970 and was stationed in Munich, Germany before being honorably discharged. Tony married Victoria A. Price on June 14, 1969 in Elmwood. After marriage they lived in the Town of Eau Galle and Tony did construction for various companies in the area until retiring in 2005.
Tony enjoyed gardening and watching sports, especially the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. Most of all, Tony loved spending time with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Tony is survived by his wife of 42 years, Victoria "Vicky", three children, Melissa "Missy" (Todd) Dorwin of Durand, Brian (Lynnea) Forster of rural Menomonie and Tracey (Ty) Tulip of Eau Galle, five grandchildren, Dylan, Paige and Cruz Dorwin, Kayla Tulip and Grayson Forster, five brothers, Bert (Helen) of Oconomowoc, Alfred "Bud" (Carole) of Eau Galle, Galen of Eau Claire, Mike of Menomonie and Bill of River Falls, three sisters, Rita Huebner of Eau Claire, Pat (Kevin) Coulson and Verna (Jim) Weiss, both of Plum City, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, twin sisters in infancy and a brother-in-law, Art Huebner.
