Patricia J Krogstad
Patricia J. "Pat” Krogstad age 79 of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at her home in Eau Claire, with her family at her side.
Pat was born on September 4, 1932, at home in the Town of Frankfurt, rural Pepin County. She was the daughter of James and Agnes (Hotter) Gifford. Pat grew up in Plum City and attended Plum City High School. Pat married Robert Krogstad on September 10, 1949 at the Plum City Methodist Church in Plum City. After marriage, Pat and Bob moved to the Twin Cities where Pat started working for K-Mart as an administrative assistant for over 20 years. After retiring, they moved to Danbury for 27 years and later in Tucson, AZ for four years. In 2005, Pat and Bob moved back to Eau Claire, where she remained the rest of her life.
Pat loved cooking, gardening, bowling and playing cards with the ladies in card club. Most of all, Pat loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her husband of 62 years Robert, four children, Steven (Deborah) of St. Cloud, MN, Deborah (Ronald) Kline of Woodbury, MN, Randall (friend Kevin) of Glendale, AZ and Sherry (Arthur) Miller of Chisago City, MN, nine grandchildren, Raymond, Gregory (Angie), Gary, Donald (Carmen), Joseph, Brandon, Kari (Korey), Michael and Kristen, seven great grandsons, four brothers, James (Clara) Gifford of Durand, Kenneth (Delmae) Gifford of Plum City, Dewayne Gifford of Eau Claire and David (Betty) Gifford of Plum City, two sisters, Sharon (Ken) Trainor of Elmwood and Linda (Harold) Bechel, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and one infant son, Roger.
