Frank H Hince
Frank H. Hince, age 90 of Plum City, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Red Wing Health Care Center in Red Wing, MN.
Frank was born on October 22, 1920 in Plum City. He was the son of Frank and Magdalena (Sagstetter) Hince. He grew up in Plum City and graduated from Plum City High School. Frank worked on the family farm until he was 24. He married Gloria Kadinger of Eau Galle on April 5, 1945 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Eau Galle. Frank was married for 65 years and farmed in the Union Township. He also ran Hince Inc. in Rock Elm rural Elmwood. Frank retired from Hince Inc. in 1978, but continued farming with his son, Thomas until 2000.
Frank’s passion was fishing. Which he would often take his family during the summer months to Lake Pepin (Warntown) most every Sunday and Wednesday nights. Later years he had built a lake home on Pipe Lake in Polk County and continued to enjoy fishing and watching his family and grandchildren. Often the activity of fishing and swimming was what he was most happy to see them doing as they grew older.
Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gloria, five sons, Frank (Dawn) of Bay City, Henry (Dana) of Elmwood, John of Red Wing, MN, Peter (Yvonne) and Thomas (Linda), both of Plum City, one daughter, Mary (Frank) Falkofske of Ellsworth, one daughter-in-law, Janice Hince of Prescott, 19 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Patrick, two brothers, Bill and Joe Hince, two sisters, Edith Hoffman and Janette Soltys and many friends.
