Craig D "Cloudy" Schlosser
Craig D. “Cloudy” Schlosser, age 57 of Durand, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire from injuries received from a motorcycle accident.
Cloudy was born on February 6, 1953 in Durand. He was the son of Ivan and Emma (Schuh) Schlosser. He grew up and graduated from Durand High School in 1971. Cloudy married Robyn Weissinger on June 17, 1972. After marriage, Cloudy worked for Parker’s Limestone for a short while before taking a job with Weiser Concrete in Durand, which later became Cemstone where he was employed for over 33 years.
Cloudy enjoyed playing softball, driving his airboat, cutting wood and he was an avid motorcycle rider, especially with his cycle groups on Wednesday and Sunday mornings. He also liked to go on four-wheeler rides and snowmobiling in the winter. Cloudy loved to take his horses on rides on the trails which he cleared. He also built an old west saloon on his property, which he named Broken Saddle Saloon and loved to entertain people there. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Cloudy is survived by his wife of 38 years, Robyn, four children, Stacy (Jamie) Burr of Spring Valley, Jason and Ivan, both of Durand, and Bobbie Jo of Eau Claire, six grandchildren, Pierce and Brody Burr, Rylie, Ambree, Ceejay and Dylan Schlosser, two brothers, Dave (Marsha) and Randy (Kathy) both of Durand, three sisters, Deanna (Jerry) Rippley of Arkansaw, Barbie (Dave) Eisenhuth of Eau Claire and Ivy (Jeff) Bauer of Baldwin, his dog Molly, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Glen Schlosser and one nephew, Bart Schlosser.
