William F Ableidinger
William F. Ableidinger, age 103 of Durand, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Plum City Care Center in Plum City.
Bill was born on December 31, 1906 in the Township of Lima, rural Durand. He was the son of Frank E. and Virginia (Schlosser) Ableidinger. Bill farmed on the family farm in the Town of Durand for all of his life. Bill married Wilma Koller on October 20, 1936 at Holy Rosary Church in Lima. He lived at home his entire life on the home farm until a recent fall put him in the Plum City Care Center.
Bill was a believer in faith, family and farming, he put heavy emphasis on faith. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Bill played a mean game of euchre, playing the game right up until the very end. Most of all, Bill enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Bill is survived by his five sons, Bill Jr. (Dorothea) of New Prague, MN, Robert (Susan) of Orlando, FL, James (Kathy) of DeForest, Thomas of Durand and Donald (Rose Ann) of Madison, ten grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Katharine Nelson of Durand, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wilma and two sisters, Rose Larson and Lucy “Sr. Cora” Ableidinger.
