Leon M Hofacker
Leon M. Hofacker, age 76 of Durand.
Born: July 15, 1934
Died: July 18, 2010 the Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Eau Claire.
Leon was born in rural Elmwood, the son of Alfred and Margaret (Laschinger) Hofacker. He was raised in rural Elmwood. He married Loretta Chilson August 27, 1957 in Plum City. After marriage they lived and farmed in rural Elmwood, Pierce County. They later moved to Durand. Leon farmed all of his life and also sold Farming and Berg Barn Cleaners and parts for many years. He enjoyed silage bagging for area farmers. Later, he semi-retired and worked at the Bauer Built Auto Wash in Durand. Leon has been a resident of the Clairemont Rehabilitation Center in Eau Claire since April.
Leon is survived by his wife Loretta Hofacker of Durand, three sons, Allen of Sparks, Nevada, Roger of Plum City and David (Tammy) of Menomonie, one daughter, Linda (Fred) Hamer of Indianapolis, IN, six grandchildren, one brother, Lyle Hofacker of Elmwood, two sisters, Lila Bates and Lita Hofacker, both of Elmwood., many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Margaret Hofacker, two sisters, Lois Kezar and Lucy Hofacker and two brothers-in-law, Art Bates and Bill Kezar.
