Arline M Hofland
Arline M. Hofland age 83 of Menomonie went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
Arline was born January 2, 1927 in Menomonie, the daughter of Arnold and Mary (Calhoun) Winoske. She attended St. Paul’s Parochial school seven years and then graduated from Menomonie High School in 1945. On May 16, 1946 she was united in marriage to Henry Hofland. They were blessed with eight children.
Arline will be remembered for her great musical talent. For decades she entertained people with her beautiful singing and piano playing. Her repertoire included over 2,000 songs. Arline lightened many hearts, and even brought tears in people’s eyes with her beautiful music. She always gave credit to the good Lord for her musical talent. Arline was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Arline is survived by three sons, Duane (Karen) of Menomonie; Dean, Darryl (Ruth Ann) of Elk Mound; two daughters, Dawn Heckenkamp of Sparta, Dixie (Michael) Weise of Elk Mound; son-in-law, Donald Nelson of Hastings, MN; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Lorraine) Winoske of Houston, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Douglas and Daniel; a daughter Dorbra Nelson.
