Frank Kalnicky, age 89 of Menomonie, formally of Boyceville, Died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at the Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie.
Frank was the born and raised on the home farm North of Boyceville, he was the son of John and Mary (Huley) Kalnicky. Frank married Bessie Polonee on October 24, 1942. After marriage, they purchased their farm on County Road O North of Boyceville. Frank and Bess farmed and raised their family until the fall of 1980 when they built their house just North of Menomonie. Frank worked besides farming for Hedlund Manufacturing in Boyceville. During his retirement, he also worked part-time for Dunn County Farmers Mutual Insurance as an adjuster. Bessie passed away in 2000.
Frank is survived by two sons, Richard (Lori) of Madison and Dennis (Marian) of Fanwood, NJ, a grandson Ben (Lisa) Kalnicky of East Dundee, IL, two granddaughters, Emily (Seth) Price of Logan, UT and Laura (Anthony) Giuffra of Scotch Plains, NJ, two sisters-in-law, Eunice Kalnicky of McHenry, IL and Minnie Polonee of Boyceville, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Bessie, a son, Barry in 1946, three brothers, Rudolph, Raymond, and an infant brother Richard, two sisters, Mathilda Petersen and Irene Kalnicky.
The family would like to thank all of the relatives, neighbors and friends who have looked in on Frank since the death of his wife Bessie. Frank will always be remembered for his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, his storytelling and his great sense of humor.
