Cleo Ann Reitz
Cleo Ann Reitz age 73 of Elmwood, died Saturday February 6, 2010 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.
Cleo was born December 19, 1936 in Durand but grew up in the Arkansaw area. She was the daughter of Donald Francis Meixner and Rosamond Ina Richardson. Cleo graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1955. Cleo married James Joseph Meixner in June on 1956. After marriage they lived in Arkansaw and Lima area of rural Durand where they raised their family. James died in 1965. In 1969, Cleo married Ronald Reitz and they made their home on Ronald’s farm in the Township of Eau Galle. During her working years, Cleo worked at the Durand Canning Company, Durand Café and retired from Sanna Dairies in Menomonie after 17 years, retiring in 1999.
Cleo loved to travel. She enjoyed collecting miniature clocks and bells and spending time with her family and friends.
Cleo is survived by her husband, Ronald; six children, Victoria Meixner of Coon Rapids, MN; Luann (Norm) Cummings of Brookfield; Laurie (Rob) Ellingboe of Woodville; James (Virginia) Meixner of Menomonie; Rebecca (Dat) Nguyen of Glendale; Jennifer (John) Einum of River Falls; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter; a brother, Bernard Duane Meixner of Arkansaw; a sister Marcia Harmon of Elmwood; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband James Meixner, a sister Dona Gill and a grandson, Brennan Einum.
