Edith M "Dolly" Lieffring
Edith “Dolly” M. Lieffring, age 92 of Durand died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Oakview Care Center in Durand.
Dolly was born in Eau Galle on March 16, 1917. She was the daughter of Earl and Margaret (Kaufman) Hooker. Dolly lived in Durand for most of her life. She was a dental assistant to Dr. Parish before Dolly married Giles Lieffring in 1939. After marriage, Dolly was a homemaker, raised her family and was also a member of St. Mary’s Altar Society.
Dolly is survived by her daughters, Jean (Roy) Goodnough of Sedona, AZ, Mary Polzer of Durand and Marge (Tony) Binkowski of Elmwood, three sons, Mike Lieffring of LaQuinta, CA, Jerome (Pat) Lieffring of Elk Mound and Tom (Jan Kruse) Lieffring of Inver Grove Heights, MN, foster daughter Kathy LaPorte of Durand, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, sister-in-law, Adah Hooker, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul Hooker and sister Thelma Gauvin.
