Donald F. Perry, age 79 of Deer Park, formerly of Chicago, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Westfields Hospital in New Richmond.

Don was born on July 15, 1930 in Chicago, IL. He was the son of John and Ruby (Wright) Perry. Don grew up in the Chicago area where graduated from high school. After graduation, Don became a bricklayer and worked in the Chicagoland Area his entire career. Don married Betty Abair January 25, 1950 in Chicago. Don retired in 1994 and later moved to Deer Park Wisconsin where he remained the rest of his life.

Don loved the Chicago Cubs and the University of Notre Dame Football team. He was also an Abraham Lincoln and Civil War Historian; he also enjoyed Garrison Keiler and the Prairie Home Companion. Don loved to spend time with family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty, four children, Suzy (Tom) Byers of Aurora, MO, Bill (Jane) Perry of Harper’s Ferry, WV, Joe Perry of Barrington, IL and Andy Perry of Geneva, IL, five granddaughters, one great granddaughter, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, twin sisters, Nancy Doyle and Norma Wallk.

A Family Celebration will be held at a later date.
