Jacalyn J. Schaal, 72, of Durand, passed away on March 16, 2025, after a life filled with love, family, and dedication to her community.

Jackie was born on October 13, 1952, in Beloit, Wisconsin, to Harold and Maxine (Burris) Feldt. Jackie grew up in Beloit and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1970.

On September 24th, 1994, She was married to her loving husband Rick Schaal, who passed just two days prior, on March 14, 2025. The bond they shared will forever be cherished by all who knew them.

In addition to being a full-time stay-at-home mom, Jackie had a passion for crafting and was well-known for her astonishing quilting skills. She crafted beautiful quilts that were made with love and prayers in every stitch of them. Each one brought warmth and comfort to the family. She donated countless pieces to various causes in her community.

Jackie was a talented writer for the Durand News Paper. She loved spending time with her family and friends and at the local senior center with others who shared her love of quilting.
