Roger A. "Ike" Hofmeister

Roger A “Ike” Hofmeister, age 72 of Nelson, formerly of Plum City, died Friday, February 14, 2025 at his home in Nelson.
Roger was born on November 4, 1952 in Menomonie. He was the son of Floyd and Elvira (Braatz) Hofmeister. Roger grew up on the Hofmeister family farm in Plum City and graduated from Plum City High School. Roger farmed with his father for many years and later on his own and farmed most of his life. Later, Roger worked for Bauer Built and also the Leader Telegram. Roger married Debby Bechel, together they had three daughters and later divorced.
Roger enjoyed going on drives and seeing the countryside. He also liked going to his coffee group and talking with people. Roger loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his dog, Buford.
Roger is survived by his children, Luci (Jason) Hedeen; Bonnie Knutson and Jackie Hofmeister; 10 grandchildren, siblings, Joan Odden; Lois Zielkie; Nancy (Phil) Tschumperlin; Tim; Kay Huppert; Dawn Hofmeister and Becky (Joel) Timblin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Donald in infancy and Tom; great grandson, Maurice Williams; brothers-in-law, Norman Odden; Raymond Zielkie and Lawrence Huppert.
