Luann Stoeklen

Luann Stoeklen

Luann Stoeklen age 59 of Menomonie died Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at home due to natural causes.

Luann was born on November 24, 1965 in Menomonie.   She was the daughter of Louie and June (Thorson) Stoeklen and grew up in Menomonie.  Luann graduated from Menomonie High School in 1984.  Luann worked at several places over the years:  First Bank and Trust (now Dairy State Bank), Hutchinson Technologies, Westconsin Credit Union, Big Dot of Happiness, JC Penney in the Oakwood Mall, Ellsworth Cheese Store and Menards (doing data entry).  Through her work journey, she found many friends who she stayed close to through the years.

Luann was a very crafty person, her favorite being crocheting.  She loved going shopping with her sisters and traveling with her sisters to Duluth, Minnesota and Door County.  Door County being the favorite.  She was always the designated driver on these trips.  After her sister Karen passed away, both Luann and Jeanne found real peace and relaxation in Door County at a special beach that Karen loved so well.  This past year we ate our breakfast and watched the sun come up on this beach and had the whole beach to ourselves.

Luann is survived by her sister, Jeanne Stoeklen of Menomonie and her golden retriever, Emma; aunts Elizabeth (Dottie) Stoeklen in Coeur D Alene, Idaho and Deanna Thorson of Menomonie as well as many cousins and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Karen, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00AM Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Menomonie with Rev. John Mano officiating. Lunch will follow in the church basement. Burial will be in the church Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM-7:00PM Monday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Menomonie and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Rhiel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Menomonie, is serving the family.

Luann was so clever and creative. I so appreciated her sense of humor. She certainly had a servant heart and a saving faith in God. Luann, you are missed! Jeremiah 31:13 "I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow."
