Lewie C Fritze

                                    Lewie Fritze Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lewie C Fritze, age 58, of Stockholm, WI. He died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends. Lewie, the son of Gino and Lillian Fritze, was born on July, 23rd 1966, in Maquoketa, Iowa and was the second eldest of 5 children. When the Fritzes moved from Iowa, they resided in Wheeling, IL, before their family moved to live on the farm in Nelson, WI. In 1984, Lewie graduated from Mondovi High School before moving to Racine, WI where he began his journey to become one of the greatest cement finishers the Midwest has ever seen. While in Racine, Lewie started a family with his first wife, Krista, before eventually moving back to raise the girls in Mondovi. It was then that he joined the Minnesota Cement Masons Union and started commuting to the Twin Cities for work. He was proud of his cement work and worked in the trade for 40 years. Lewie was an incredible father, always cheering the loudest at sporting events for his daughters. He was their biggest fan on the court and in adulthood, always pushing them towards success. He taught them to hunt, fish, and be independent. A lot of wonderful hunting memories were made over the years and he never minded that they shot all of his big bucks. He was so proud of his girls and loved them dearly. Lewie met his love, Sandy in 2010; they made a home together in Lund, WI and went on to marry in 2015. The two enjoyed listening to live music together and hosting friends and family in their home. Lewie’s grandchildren lit up his world, Papa Lewie loved joking with them and was so proud of them all. Lewie loved to cook and his specialties were homemade mostaccioli, jalapeño poppers, and his famous cheesecake. He was one of a kind and made a lasting impact on everyone in his family and so many dear friends. Everyone will miss him tremendously.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gino Fritze; nephew, Kyle Larson; sister-in-law, Theresa Werlein.

He is survived in death by his loving wife, Sandy Fritze; daughters, Kayla (Chris) Campbell, Ashley (Dylan) Pattison, Austynn (Dan) Bonesteel, and Alyssa Fritze; stepchildren, Zachary Arnt, Jesse (Rachelle) Arnt, and Sydney (Travis) Follansbee; grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Corah, Evelynn, Kaydence, Estelle, Gabrielle, Jayden, Teagan, Leighton, Amelia, and McKenna; mother, Lillian Fritze; siblings, Natalie Fritze, Gina Fritze, Tony Fritze, and Jody Beckstrom (Mike); many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and his dog, Noya Lew.

Visitation will be held at Lund Mission Covenant Church, W10899 County Rd CC, Stockholm, WI 54769 from 9:00 am - 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024. Funeral service will begin at 11:30 am and luncheon will follow at the Pepin Sportmans Club, W10076 Sand Ridge Rd, Pepin, WI 54759.
