Joyce L Gilles

Joyce Gilles, 96, of Plum City, WI, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in her home on November 5th.

Joyce was born on January 31, 1928 in Union Township, WI to Harry and Zula Fisher. After she finished high school in 1946, she worked in health care for 60+ years. In 1949, Joyce married Elwood “Billy” Gilles and they were married for 49 years and had 2 beautiful children.

Joyce loved spending time with her family, loved to read and she spent her life in the service of others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Zula Fisher, her husband Bill, daughter, Debra Dettling, sisters Arva (Earl) Ebensperger, Anita (Bob)Ebensperger and brother Joe & Marilyn Fisher.  She is survived by son, Stanley (Karen) Gilles, Brother Tim (Gail) Fisher, and all of her beloved five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on November 17, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Molly’s in Plum City.

Rhiel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Durand, is serving the family.
