Carole F Bauer
Carole F. Bauer, age 73 of Durand,
Born: April 23, 1935
Died: February 3, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family at her home in the Town of Lima, rural Pepin County.
Carole was born in Cumberland, WI and she was the daughter of Ben and Agatha (Cotone) Sirianni. Carole married Edmund J. Bauer on February 20, 1960 in Eau Claire. Carole and Ed resided on the family farm where they raised their six children. Carole worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, the Durand and Mondovi hospitals as an x-ray technician.
Carole’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends. She opened her heart and home to everyone, she was known as a very giving and caring person. She was also known as an excellent Italian cook and was happiest cooking for family and friends. Carole also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and keno.
Carole is survived by her husband Edmund, six children, Joanne (Gary Brott) and their sons, Benjamin and Nickolas of Eau Claire, David (Special Friend Carrie) and her children Cameron and Danielle of Durand, Mary Cataract and her son James of Durand, Jean (Rock Taylor) and their sons, Nathan and Jacob of Cottage Grove, WI, Joseph (Colette) of Cottage Grove, WI, Laurie (fiancé Dan King) and his daughter MaKenna of Durand, one brother Ben (Vonnie) Sirianni of Prior Lake, MN, one sister, Dorothy Sirianni of Eau Claire, a special friend and cousin, Joyce Smith of Shakopee, MN. In heaven, Carole will be joining her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kim Bauer, son-in-law, Eugene Cataract, a nephew, Paul Sirianni and her parents.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Sal Obaid, Dr. Mohammad Muslim and the oncology staff at Sacred Heart Hospital as well as the excellent hospice staff at Northwest Home Care.
