Ruth A Forster

Ruth A Forster, age 80 of Durand, died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire with her family by her side.

Ruth was born on June 3, 1940 in Durand. She was the daughter of Leo and Evelyn (Kirchner) Konsela. Ruth grew up in the Durand area where she lived all of her life. Ruth married Lyle Forster Sr. in 1958. After marriage they lived on the city limits of Durand where they raised their family. She spent much of her time raising her children, making meals for her family and in later years she watched many of her grandchildren.

Ruth enjoyed taking trips, crafting, antiquing and campfires. Most of all, Ruth loved spending time with her family and friends.

Ruth is survived by her children; Debra (Kevin) Risler of Mondovi, Sue (David) Lay of Gilmanton, Sandra (David) Fedie of Eau Claire, Larry (Kelly) of Tomah, Vicki (Don) Asher of Durand, 13 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, two brothers; Dave (Carol) Konsela and Jim (Irene) Konsela, both of Durand, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Lyle Forster Sr., two sons; Michael, in infancy and Lyle Forster Jr., grandson; Nicholas Lay and one brother; Don (Vonnie) Konsela.

Private family services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

    So sorry to hear about first cousin Ruth's passing. The last time I saw her was in Arcadia at our first cousin's reunion in 2012. To her family: I want to extend my sincere condolences. I'm sure she will be missed deeply by all and that she left behind many great memories to hold on to.

    So sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. I would visit with her when my mom was at the Home Place and she would visit with Norita years ago.
