Betty Jane Krause, age 89, of Faribault, MN and formerly of Menomonie, WI, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at the New Perspective Senior Living Community in Faribault following an extended illness.

Betty was born in Menomonie on November 5, 1930 to Agnes Hannack.  Betty married Richard Krause on January 30, 1948.  Betty worked several jobs throughout her life retiring from 3M in Menomonie.  Betty loved dogs & cats; a stray could always find a spot in her heart.  She also loved plants & flowers and could tell you what kind of flower or plant you were looking at better and faster than any botanist.

Betty is survived by a son, Tony (Rita) Krause of Faribault; grandsons, Bryan Davis (Mandy Botke) of St. Petersburg, FL, Jesse Krause (Mary Gillis) of New Castle CO, and Garette Krause (Jorielle Scheer) of Faribault; granddaughter, Nichole Candler (Andrew Mestdagh) of Denver, CO; great grandchildren, Katja, Savannah, Ares, Gunnar, Jade, and Logan.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Hannack; husband, Richard Krause; son, William Krause; and grandson, Cole Krause.

Many thanks to her Angels at New Perspective Senior Living and Moments Hospice for ALL the kind care provided

Betty will be buried in Evergreen Cemetery Menomonie, WI with a small family gathering at a later date.

A quote from Betty is, “I don’t want to bother you!”

Condolences

Sorry to hear of Betty's passing recently. She was a wonderful person that I have very fond memories of. I was a close friend of Bill. Same age, grew up together. Went to St. Joseph's grade school and onto Menomonie High School. Spent a lot of time together when we were younger! Frequented the Krause home on the east side many times. Had many pleasant conversations with Betty and Dick growing up! Dick was a hard guy to BS I remember! Remember Agnes and Gary Hannack too. Tony was younger. Didn't get to know him until Bill died. Betty moved to Tony's after Bill died. I never saw her after that. She was a very kind and loving mother that I know Bill and Tony loved dearly. Betty and my mother Mickey had many conversations about Bill and I, I am sure! I really miss Bill and visit Dick and Bill's grave a number of times every year. My dad died in 1998, the same year Bill passed. Betty always was able to calm everyone down when calm and reason was needed! Her insights on life were always a great talking point! I will always have a special place in my heart for Betty! Dick, Betty and William Wayne (Bill) are all together once again. Rest in Peace Betty, your wisdom will be sadly missed!

May you rest in peace Betty. You were a delight to know and work with.

Betty was a kind, wonderful, cheerful lady that I was fortunate to work with at 3M back in the 70's and 80's.
Much sympathy and many prayers to her family.
