Bernard H. Fredrickson Jr.
Bernard H. Fredrickson Jr., age 57 of Arkansaw, formerly of Plum City, died peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2020 at his home in Arkansaw. After a short battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
Bernie was born on June 27, 1962 in Durand. He was the son of Bernard H. and Karen (Smith) Fredrickson Sr. Bernie grew up in Plum City and graduated from Plum City High School in 1981. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served in Scotland, Hawaii, and Florida. While in the Navy, Bernie met and married Pamela K. Burrow. Together they had one daughter, Melanne. They later divorced. In 1995, Bernie moved back to Plum City where he lived and worked as a union millwright. He also owned and operated Fredrickson Pump Service for five years. Bernie married his longtime friend and love of his life, Tammy Bishop on February 2, 2019 at Molly’s on Main in Plum City. Together they lived in Arkansaw, “west of the Chippewa River.”
Bernie enjoyed fishing on the Chippewa River with his friends and having a few dozen beers. He would help anyone with anything, and he was an all around fix-it man. Bernie was a man you could call on anytime for anything. He was especially devoted every day to pull a fast one on anyone that was susceptible!!!
Bernie is survived by his wife; Tammy, daughter; Melanne, stepchildren; Jayson (Amy) Burrow, Amber Musick, Jasmine (Nate) Baker, Paige (Justin Risler) Anderson and Miah Massof, five grandchildren; Dawson, Paxton, Addyson, Lillian and Mariska, dad; Bernard Fredrickson Sr., three sisters; Kimberly Fredrickson, Kelly Retterath and Nicole Fredrickson, his Chip Trip Crew, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bernie is preceded in death by: his mom Karen, Grandparents, aunts, uncles, other family he cared deeply for and a very special little man, Macin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when we can all get together and celebrate Bernie’s life.
