Roderick J Yoder
Roderick J. Yoder, age 49 of Elmwood, died November 29, 2008 at the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.
Rod was born June 12, 1959. He was the son of Wilfred K. and Ruth (Miller) Yoder. Rod grew up in Friend, NE and attended East Fairview Mennonite Church in Milford, NE. That is where he accepted Christ and was bapized at 16 years of age. Rod remained a faithful servent to Christ until his last breath. Rod fell in love with his best friend and bride Lori Riley and they were married on August 11, 1978. Rod was a dairy farmer all of his life and loved being outside and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball with his children and grandchildren. Rod always mentioned how beautiful each one of his children and grandchildren were to Lori.
Rod is survived by his wife of 30 years Lori, nine daughters, Kiley (Mark) Imhoff of Elmwood, Chasity (Divoni) Zarza of Alma, Casey (Terry)Brost of Unity, Kelie (Darek Long) Yoder of Elmwood, Kelsey, Kali, Cassie, Kaylie and Chaney all at home, three sons, Cody (Larisa) of Curtis, Kobe and Kenze both at home, 13 grandchildren, Cameron, Blake, Carson, and Braden Imhoff, Austin, Tristin Rilin and Doldon Yoder, Shinia, Shailey and Kenay Zarza and Austin and Levi Brost, his mother Ruth Yoder of Seward, NE, mother-in-law, Lois Riley of Milford, NE, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Wilfred, infant daughter Courtney, father-in-law Ferman Riley, brother-in-law, Bill Riley and one niece, Angie Stutzman.
